Dak Prescott highlights 'epitome of the trust, the brotherhood' as CeeDee Lamb's contribution helps Cowboys return to win column
The Cowboys needed a response, and they got one. After letting opportunities slip away the previous week, Dallas delivered a performance that showed Dak Prescott what this team can be when everything comes together. For the quarterback, Sunday's win meant more than a boost in the standings.
Speaking to the media after Sunday's 34-30 victory over the Houston Texans, Prescott compared the team's response with its loss to the Baltimore Ravens the previous week.
"I feel like that's what the disappointment was with last week," Prescott said as he addressed the media post-game. "I know how and what we're capable of doing, and when we didn't do it last week, down in the red zone, plenty of time and opportunities and we don't get it done, we settle for a field goal, we put our defense in a terrible situation by our lack of execution ."

As per the reports put out by the Dallas Cowboys, Prescott further spoke about how Sunday's performance was a reflection of everything the Cowboys had been building towards.
"So today was just the epitome of the trust, the brotherhood, the practice, the details, everything that we put into this, the communication. And we just have to build off of it."
That red-zone frustration traces back to Rio de Janeiro. In the closing seconds, Dallas reached first-and-goal at the 2-yard line but kicked a tying field goal, then lost 34-31 in regulation.
This time, Prescott finished the job. He led an 11-play, 74-yard drive that included a fourth-down conversion and ended with a 12-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb with 40 seconds left. Lamb finished with a career-high 17 catches for 189 yards, and Prescott threw for 335 yards.
The win moved Dallas to 2-2 and gave Prescott the response he wanted after the Ravens loss. Now the challenge is to build on it. But Prescott made sure the credit didn't stop there, as he also singled out the receiver who delivered the finishing blow, CeeDee Lamb.
Dak Prescott praises CeeDee Lamb for more than just Sunday's numbers
CeeDee Lamb's afternoon was impossible to miss. He caught a career-high 17 passes for 189 yards, including the go-ahead touchdown in Houston. But when Prescott talked about his top receiver afterward, he looked well beyond the box score.
In the aforementioned interview, he showered the star wide receiver with praise.
"CeeDee's been great," Prescott said. "Obviously today, but just throughout the whole season. Just his demeanor, his mindset, his mentality, communication throughout each and every play, and I think today was just a great example of that."
Lamb's 12-yard touchdown with 40 seconds left capped the winning drive, a play that depends on trust between the two.
With the Cowboys looking to build on the win, that bond gives them a dependable foundation.
