"More than in the Mix"-Patrick Mahomes earns WWE legend Seth Rollins' confidence as Chiefs step in undefeated into Week 4

Patrick Mahomes is back, the Chiefs are 3-0, and WWE star Seth Rollins believes Kansas City could be around for much longer than just the opening weeks of the season.

Rollins spoke about the Chiefs-Raiders matchup on Good Morning Football, with Mahomes’ return from his ACL injury standing out to him.

“To see him come in and wheel and deal like the Patrick Mahomes of old, I love that. And I think this team is going to be in the mix, more than in the mix at the end of the season. They look incredible,” Rollins said.

Mahomes has helped Kansas City beat Denver, Indianapolis and Miami to open the season. He has thrown for 812 yards and seven touchdowns through three games, giving the Chiefs another strong start after missing the end of last season with his knee injury.

“I’m going to lean with Patrick Mahomes on this one,” Rollins said on Good Morning Football on October 1. “I just think they were so bad last year. This team was not good, even with Mahomes when he was healthy, before the knee was good, they were not good.”

The WWE star also knows what an ACL recovery can involve. Rollins has dealt with one himself. He pointed to the challenge Mahomes faced getting back on the field.

“People were looking to write them off, like the Chiefs were done. ACL injuries are no joke. I’ve had one myself. They put you out, the rehab is grueling. There’s a big confidence issue when you get back on the field,” Rollins added.

Mahomes also has plenty of history against Las Vegas, with 36 touchdown passes and 4,427 passing yards against the Raiders.

Las Vegas enters Sunday at 3-0 as well after rallying past New Orleans 35-27.

With the AFC West rivals meeting at Allegiant Stadium, one of them will leave Week 4 with its first loss. Rollins’ confidence in Mahomes comes as the Chiefs return to a familiar setting in Las Vegas.

Is Patrick Mahomes set for another big test against the Raiders?

Patrick Mahomes has built an impressive record indoors, and that will be another storyline when the Chiefs visit the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.

Since taking over as Kansas City’s full-time starter in 2018, Mahomes is 16-2 indoors, with 43 touchdowns, six interceptions and an average of 316 passing yards per game, according to Arrowhead Addict writer Leigh Oleszczak.

“Mahomes has been nearly unbeatable when playing indoors,” Oleszczak wrote, according to RoundTable Sports. “He's 16-2 when playing indoors, while tossing 43 touchdowns to just six interceptions and averaging 316 yards per game.”

Mahomes won his first 15 indoor starts, including Super Bowl victories over the Eagles and 49ers. His only other indoor loss came against Las Vegas, which beat Kansas City 14-12 at Allegiant Stadium on Jan. 4, 2026.

Now, the Chiefs return to the same stadium at 3-0, while the Raiders also enter undefeated. It marks the first time in the 134-game rivalry that both teams meet with 3-0 records.

Raiders star Maxx Crosby warned his teammates about the challenge, while Andy Reid summed up what the matchup means.

“The better the two teams are, the better the rivalry,” Reid said. “This is what it's all about.”

With both teams unbeaten, Sunday brings another chapter to the AFC West rivalry.
