2026 NFL Week 5 odds and Lineups: Predictions for all games
Week 5 opens Thursday night in Dallas, where the Cowboys host the winless Buccaneers. The Chiefs and Panthers take the first byes of the season, leaving 15 games on the slate.
Kansas City, San Francisco and Minnesota are the last unbeaten teams after the Raiders and Bills each took their first loss in Week 4. At the other end, the Texans, Titans, Buccaneers, Dolphins and Chargers are all 0-4. Houston and Tennessee meet this week, so one of them will get its first win.
Injuries are reshaping lineups too. Baker Mayfield's thumb has Tampa Bay starting an undrafted rookie, Chicago is waiting on Caleb Williams' hamstring, and the Giants are without Jaxson Dart for the season. Saquon Barkley, Ja'Marr Chase, and Lamar Jackson are others to watch before Sunday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Dallas Cowboys
Tampa Bay (0-4) is without Baker Mayfield, who dislocated his thumb, so undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels is at quarterback. Dallas (2-2) scored 28 second-half points to beat Houston, with Javonte Williams finding the end zone three times.
Prediction: Cowboys 27, Buccaneers 17.
Sunday, Oct. 11
Philadelphia Eagles vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Philadelphia (2-2) blew a late lead to the Rams, and running back Saquon Barkley left that game with a hamstring injury. Lane Johnson was among the Eagles' inactives. Jacksonville (3-1) is riding a defense that has carried it past the Patriots and Bengals.
Prediction: Jaguars 23, Eagles 20.
Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers
Chicago (3-1) is still without Caleb Williams (hamstring), who was reported to be out three to four weeks, so Case Keenum or Tyson Bagent will start. Running back Kyle Monangai hurt his thumb against the Jets. Green Bay (2-2) edged Tampa Bay behind a late defensive stand.
Prediction: Bears 24, Packers 21.
Cincinnati Bengals vs Miami Dolphins
Cincinnati (2-2) lost Ja'Marr Chase to a concussion in the loss to Jacksonville, and Tee Higgins is dealing with an adductor issue. Miami (0-4) and Malik Willis keep stalling on offense, scoring only 10 against Minnesota.
Prediction: Bengals 27, Dolphins 16.
Cleveland Browns vs New York Jets
Cleveland (3-1) beat Pittsburgh 27-24 on Thursday night. New York (1-3) fell to the Bears.
Prediction: Browns 20, Jets 17.
Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans
Both teams are 0-4, so one will get its first win. Houston took the lead on a hook-and-ladder against Dallas but couldn't hold it. Tennessee, with Cam Ward at quarterback, lost 24-18 in Baltimore.
Prediction: Texans 21, Titans 14.
Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Indianapolis (2-2) beat Washington 30-13 in London. Pittsburgh (2-2) lost on Thursday night, so the Steelers have extra rest.
Prediction: Steelers 24, Colts 21.
Las Vegas Raiders vs New England Patriots
Las Vegas (3-1) fell 30-27 to Kansas City, with Kirk Cousins throwing for 365 yards. New England (2-2) beat Buffalo 29-26 on a late rally and intercepted Josh Allen to seal it.
Prediction: Patriots 27, Raiders 24.
New York Giants vs Washington Commanders
New York (3-1) beat Arizona 36-24 but is without Jaxson Dart, who is out for the season. Washington (1-3) lost Marcus Mariota to a knee injury against the Colts, and Jayden Daniels' elbow status is unclear.
Prediction: Giants 21, Commanders 20.
Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints
Minnesota (4-0) and Kyler Murray beat Miami 15-10. New Orleans, with Tyler Shough at quarterback, hosts Atlanta on Monday night, so the Saints' record will update before kickoff.
Prediction: Vikings 23, Saints 20.
Denver Broncos vs Los Angeles Chargers
Denver (2-2) lost cornerbacks Patrick Surtain II (ankle) and Riley Moss (ribs) in the loss to San Francisco, and receiver Pat Bryant was carted off. Los Angeles (0-4) lost 30-23 to Seattle when Justin Herbert fumbled on its final drive. Ladd McConkey (foot) is on the injury watch list.
Prediction: Broncos 24, Chargers 20.
Detroit Lions vs Arizona Cardinals
Detroit (2-2) lost 32-26 to Carolina on Sunday night, when Bryce Young threw for 329 yards. Arizona (1-3) and Jacoby Brissett lost to the Giants.
Prediction: Lions 27, Cardinals 20.
San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks
San Francisco (4-0) and Brock Purdy beat Denver 24-14, with a 56-yard touchdown to George Kittle. Seattle (3-1) and Sam Darnold held off the Chargers.
Prediction: Seahawks 27, 49ers 24.
Baltimore Ravens vs Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore (3-1) beat Tennessee, but Lamar Jackson (ankle) did not return, and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf) was ruled out. Atlanta and Michael Penix Jr. play Monday night in New Orleans.
Prediction: Ravens 24, Falcons 20.
Monday, Oct. 12
Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams
Buffalo (3-1) lost 29-26 to New England, and receiver DJ Moore aggravated a shoulder injury. Los Angeles (2-2) and reigning MVP Matthew Stafford scored 14 straight points in the final four minutes to beat the Eagles, with Puka Nacua scoring in his return from injury.
Prediction: Rams 30, Bills 27.
